The District of Columbia, Department of Employment Services (DOES) joins with the US Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to promote a positive and safe working experience for young workers. Businesses, teens, parents and educators can access valuable information on federal and state rules and guidelines that govern young workers at the following web sites:

  • YouthRules! is a web site that educates the general public regarding the hours youth can work and the jobs youth can perform.

  • Youth@Work is a site that prepares youth to recognize the different forms of discrimination in the workplace.

  •
