The District Department of the Environment (DDOE) and the Department of General Services (DGS) publish up-to-date energy benchmarking results for all DGS-managed properties and detailed 15-minute interval power consumption data for select properties on BuildSmartDC.com.
Each year, the District of Columbia publishes detailed energy and water performance benchmarking data from the largest buildings in the city. Data is disclosed beginning with the second year of data for a building. Because the benchmarking law has been phased-in over several years, the set of data that is disclosed has grown larger each year. In late 2015, this disclsoure will be fully phased in, when DDOE publishes 2014 benchmarking data on all buildings covered by the law (and not exempt).
The benchmarking data is currently provided as spreadsheets on DDOE’s website (see below) and also on the District of Columbia Open Data Portal. Map-based interfaces for exploring the data are planned for release in the coming months.
