All Refund/Direct Rollover processing will take approximately 60-90 days from the date that all documents are received at DCRB.

*If you are electing a rollover of your taxable distribution please include a letter of acceptance from your financial institution.
Members of the District of Columbia Police Officers' and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan:
Please note: Police Officers and Firefighters’ Plan Members must contact their former payroll office at 202-727-2060 to begin the refund process. Please print and read all tax documents before submitting any forms.
The District of Columbia Teachers’ Retirement Plan and the District of Columbia Police Officers and Firefighters’ Retirement Plan are considered 401 (a) defined benefit governmental retirement plans under Section 414(d) of the Internal Revenue Code. For purposes of rollovers, refunds, and other financial transactions, your Social Security number serves as the plan’s account number since neither plan assigns individual account numbers.
