Youth Connection Center
The Youth Connection Center (YCC) has an extensive application process that determines a youth’s eligibility for every Office of Youth Program program and service. The youth participate in a step by step process:
Through this process, youth will have the skills and support of the YCC to accomplish their long-term goals.
A youth can take advantage of the YCC services at his/her own pace in a self-service capacity, or he or she can work with a Youth Resource Specialist to receive intensive services that are more intense and focused on that youth’s particular needs.
Youth will also receive information and services pertaining to the following:
- Career Exploration
- Short- and Long-Term Goal Assessment
- Skills Training
- Career Fairs
- Supportive Services
- Various Career and Life Skills Workshops
- Academic Remediation Services
Through the Youth Connection Center's six-step process, a “Connection” to Post-Secondary Education, Vocational Training/Apprenticeships, Job Corp, Immediate Employment, or the Military is inevitable.
