Building our communities by increasing opportunities for employers and residents interested in construction careers.
Providing a broad exposure to the District’s Workforce and stakeholders to build a thriving construction industry.
The Center for Construction Careers (CCC) was developed by the Department of Employment Services (DOES) with a goal to train and refer District residents in skilled construction jobs. The program will utilize the existing First Source laws and the Apprenticeship Program to ensure referrals and placements of District residents.
The CCC was established as a direct result from feedback received at the forWARD 8 Summits. The initial goal was to provide Ward 8 residents with the training and skills necessary to succeed in the construction industry, earn nationally recognized credentials, and connect with real-time, available job openings. As a result, the CCC is laying the groundwork for self-sufficient sustainability and new business development within the community and will serve all DC Ward residents.
All District residents who meet program and training requirements are eligible to receive services at the CCC.
