IGNITE DC is a workforce development initiative designed to equip participants with industry-aligned occupational skills, stackable micro-credentials, and hands-on experience necessary to enter high-demand careers in transportation and logistics, hospitality and tourism, healthcare services, and information technology. Through structured training, career pathway navigation, work-based learning opportunities, employer engagement, and supportive services, the program ensures participants obtain industry-recognized credentials and measurable skill gains that lead to unsubsidized employment, retention, and long-term career advancement in sectors critical to the District’s economy.
