American Job Center – Southeast Closed Today Due to HVAC Malfunction

Monday, July 18, 2016
AJC-SE to Remain Closed for the Remainder of the Day
Washington, DC – The American Job Center – Southeast (AJC-SE), located at 3720 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE, is closed today, Monday July 18, 2016 due to a malfunctioning of the air conditioning system and elevated temperatures inside the building.

As outdoor temperatures are predicted to reach the upper-90s, the combined effects of the elevated heat and humidity have caused the heat index to rise inside the building, forcing the closure.

AJC-SE staff will temporarily relocate to other American Job Centers for the day. As repairs to the HVAC system are underway, the Department of Employment Services (DOES) anticipates the AJC-SE will resume normal operations tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19, 2016. However, please continue to check the DOES website at www.does.dc.gov for updates.
