Bowser Administration Announces New Spanish Language Employment Website and $100,000 Grant to Support Latino Families

(WASHINGTON, DC) – During Fair Shot February, the Bowser Administration will reveal a new full service Spanish language website, “DOES en español”, under the Department of Employment Services. The Administration coordinated efforts between the Office of the Chief Technology Officer and the Department of Employment Services to develop a user friendly digital platform that would allow Limited English Proficient (LEP) and Non-English Proficient (NEP) residents, whose language preference is Spanish, to access all information on programs and services oered by DOES. The Administration will also announce a $100,000 grant that will give LEP and NEP parents of school-age children access to literacy programs, job training and employment services provided by DOES.
