(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, April 3, at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will launch a new Workforce Training Program designed to prepare residents for careers in transportation as sign installers. Mayor Bowser will also kick off a #GoodSignDC initiative to install and replace street signs in the District.
The training pilot program is a partnership between the DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) and the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). The 12-month training program includes two weeks of required classroom instruction at the DC Infrastructure Academy.
Through April 15, residents are encouraged to share #GoodSignDC to alert the District about street signs, such as parking signs, that are confusing or are in need of replacement.
