The Department of Employment Services provides job seekers with a number of employment opportunities. Each center provides career counseling, resume assistance, job placement, vocational training, access to online services, information about local and national labor markets, unemployment insurance, and much more.
Dislocated workers may file for unemployment insurance at the American Job Center Northeast, American Job Center Northwest, American Job Center Southeast, or at our new DCWORKS the American Job Center Virtual One Stop System. Customers may also apply for unemployment insurance online. Customers interested in additional services should go to one of the full-service American Job Centers listed below.
