The Mayor's Youth Leadership Institute (MYLI) has been re-designated as the “Marion Barry Youth Leadership Institute” in honor of the late Councilmember and former Mayor Marion S.
Provides District youth ages 14 to 24 with enriching and constructive summer work experiences.
The Out-of-School Program provides occupational skills training, career awareness counseling, work readiness modules, basic education, GED preparation, supported internship experiences, as well as vocational skills training.
OYP provides skills training, work experience, academic enrichment and life skills training to facilitate the development of work habits and skills that are essential for success.
