Jason Washington

Jason Washington serves as the distinguished Chief of Staff for the DC Department of Employment Services (DOES). In this pivotal role, Mr. Washington orchestrates seamless collaboration across all Agency programs, overseeing crucial aspects such as timely reporting, communication, administrative functions, community outreach, and policy and legislative affairs.

With a rich professional background, Jason brings invaluable experience to his current position. Prior to his role at DOES, he held the prestigious position of Chief of Staff in the Washington, DC City Council. Before that, he served as a Special Assistant in the Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM) and played a pivotal role as a Special Assistant to the Director at the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), now the Department of Buildings (DOB).

Jason is a proud alumnus of North Carolina A&T University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. As a native Washingtonian, he is deeply committed to the prosperity and progress of the District, contributing his expertise and leadership to drive positive change.
