Through this notice, the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) communicates the enactment of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), announces its current implementation plans, shares key statutorily-required implementation dates, and provides initial informational resources regarding the provisions in the new law.

On July 22, 2014, the President signed H.R. 803 The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The WIOA replaces the 1998 Workforce Investment Act, WIA, providing comprehensive change, updating of our nation's workforce development, and training programs, including services for persons with significant disabilities.
