Victor Robertson

Chief Strategy Officer, Education and Workforce Innovation

A proud graduate of Howard University, Victor Robertson has served the District’s Department of Employment Services (DOES) for nearly ten years across departments and programs. Through his multiple roles, including Workforce Development Specialist, Program Analyst, and Chief Strategy Officer, he has been tasked with creating high-quality workforce opportunities for various populations, including individuals with barriers to employment, adults, and youth.

Prior to rejoining the executive staff at DOES in December 2023, Victor served as the Director of Workforce Development with The Corp Network (TCN), the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps. Mr. Robertson joined TCN to aid in developing the organization's federal government funding and expanding its workforce development offerings. During his time with TCN, he established workforce development programs designed to increase diversity in conservation, combat climate change, and connect historically marginalized populations to high-quality careers and opportunities. Through his efforts, TCN created career pathways in urban forestry, water management, solar panel installation, weatherization, and landscape management that were implemented and replicable across the network of 150+ Corps.

Mr. Robertson demonstrates a history of successfully developing public-private partnerships, intergovernmental collaboration efforts, mental health and workforce development service delivery, and training and development strategies that have allowed for innovation, growth, and expansion. He possesses the exceptional ability to analyze a full range of business concerns and needs to identify and recommend processes, products, and solutions to meet goals and objectives.
