Office of Wage Hour Partnerships

OWH Partnerships

Government - MOUs

The Office of Wage-Hour is committed to engaging with all communities in the District of Columbia and informing them of their wage law rights and responsibilities.  OWH has Memorandums of Understanding (MOU's) with agencies that serve the District’s limited or non-English proficient (LEP/NEP) population to provide additional outreach and wage-law education in their language of preference. Currently, OWH works collaboratively with the Mayor’s Office of Asian Pacific Islander Affairs and the Mayor’s Office of Latino Affairs to translate labor law posters and outreach materials and host labor law information workshops to educate the District's Asian, Pacific Islander and Latino communities on the various District wage laws.

Community - Grants

The Office of Wage-Hour provides a Public Education Grant(s) to community-based organizations to perform outreach to employees and businesses in the District of Columbia to raise awareness of the office and inform the community of their wage law rights and responsibilities. Grantees are required to participate in labor law trainings conducted by OWH. Grantees also provide referrals for any workers whose wage law rights have been violated and submit to OWH to investigate. Grants are subject to funding availability.
