On November 27 - 28, the DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) and the American Job Center locations will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Please be advised, if you receive unemployment insurance benefits, payments may be delayed due to the DOES and American Job Center locations closure. We will be available to assist you in-person or by telephone on all other weekdays. Thank you

Premium Surcharge Procedures

At the end of each fiscal quarter, insurers must submit an amount equal to the premium surcharge collected from policyholders during that quarter. The payment shall be submitted no later than 30 days after the end of each quarter.

Due dates for the periods covered in each quarter:
 

First Quarter: October 1-December 31

Due by: January 31

 

Second Quarter: January 1-March 31

Due by: April 30

 

Third Quarter: April 1-June 30

Due by: July 31

 

Fourth Quarter: July 1-September 30

Due by: October 31

 

Checks shall be made payable to the "DC Treasurer," and transmitted with the Quarterly Premium Surcharge Payment Form.
