Veteran Services
Veterans are entitled to receive a priority in service that includes the following:
- A 24-hour "Veterans Only" hold on all new job orders that the Department of Employment Services workforce system receives.
- Placement of qualified veterans' résumés before non-veterans' résumés on job order screens that Employment Developement Department staff or prospective employers view.
- Assistance from Veterans Specialists who are dedicated to providing priority employment and training services to veterans.

- Honorable Discharge (DD-214)
The District of Columbia's Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) program is funded 100% by a $485,780.00 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
