In September 2024, Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Department of Employment Services (DOES) Director Unique Morris-Hughes launched the DC Healthcare Academy to recruit, train, and support District residents to succeed in high-demand healthcare roles.
Through the DC Healthcare Academy, participants receive the training, certifications, and credentials they need to be hired into high-need healthcareer careers. DOES team look forward to expanding these partnership to increase reach and impact.
