On July 1, 2017, the minimum wage in the District of Columbia will increase from $11.50 to $12.50 per hour for all employees who do not receive gratuities.The base minimum wage for tipped employees will increase from $2.77 to $3.33 per hour, the first increase in almost 20 years.
